Breakfast is the time you can stand out more from other places - where your passion can shine through on a Daily bases. Everyone expects clean well maintained rooms with a comfy bed, but breakfast is where you can create a unique experience and chat with your guests.
We all need to remember that people eat first with their eyes and smell, then with taste. The cozy feeling of a fireplace and the smell of coffee combined with a beautiful starter of your choice creates excitement for the hot breakfast coming.
Not everyone is a morning person - Including myself - but spending the time putting works of art together is what gets me motivated for the day ahead. I love the feeling of hearing guests oooh and aaah over the starters and cameras clicking while they take photos - Knowing my guests are happy makes the world of a difference, this also helps to set the mood for a good day ahead.
On busier days it can feel like an effort to create something when you are fully booked, finding starters that work for you, and easy to put together can end up taking only a few minutes to get ready. My yogurt parfait takes me about 4min to get ready and still makes a statement. This starter is my go-to for busy jam packed days.
